We are seeking a Planning Officer (Graduate) to assist in shaping the future of Canterbury district as we embark on implementing the newly adopted Local Plan, which has an ambitious growth agenda.
The District is a wonderful place to live and work, with many historic and natural assets, including the Canterbury World Heritage Site and the coastal towns of Herne Bay and Whitstable.
We are looking for a graduate who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and wants to embark on a rewarding career, or expand on their existing planning skills to shape the future of the district.
You will have a relevant degree
Be IT literate
Able to use your own initiative
Be an excellent communicator.
This post requires you to have a full driving license and own transport or requires travelling to sites in a timely manner equivalent to motor travel in your own car
Due to the nature of this role, it is a politically restricted post.
Professional training will be offered to those without accredited planning qualifications.
