Part time 27.5 Hours a week (3 or 4 days)
This post provides an exciting opportunity for you to play a key role in working within a shared HR service across Eastbourne Borough and Lewes District Councils. This team provides a shared service function to ensure that the HR support, advice and administration is customer focused, efficient and effective. You will report to the Head of HR.
The successful candidate will be a talented and innovative individual with an interest and understanding of the vision, purpose and values of a customer focused HR Strategy and demonstrate the ability to take personal responsibility for delivering an excellent service. You will have proven experience of working in a generalist HR role, having responsibility for employee relations cases, applying legislation and involvement in recruitment and selection, alongside a commitment to deliver a high standard professional HR service. An understanding of the challenges of an HR service in a political environment is desirable.
You will be a valuable contributor to the shape of the day to day operations of an HR team which provides a specialist professional service alongside an efficient administrative service.

The working pattern can be reasonably flexible although it will include Fridays and can be discussed further at interview.
