Waltham Forest Community Safety Partnership is looking for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to work as part of a busy team and manage the day to day activity within the partnership’s Prevent offer. This role offers the chance to work as part of an exciting and varied initiative in Waltham Forest that works with children and adults to foster resilience to radicalisation.
The post-holder will lead the team’s work in the education sector, deliver training to internal and external partners, and assist in managing the Digital Resilience project materials which are being developed locally under the Government’s Prevent strategy.
Applicants should be used to working in a fast paced and fluid environment, reacting to events and evolving priorities. The post-holder will be required to have a sound knowledge of the Prevent Strategy and its priorities.
The nature of the role will evolve as the priorities of the programme develop, but key responsibilities will involve the implementation and operational management of the Prevent offer, specifically focussing on the delivery of Prevent training and educational materials to staff, parents and students in a variety of teaching and learning settings. This will require skills in education planning, delivery and evaluation, project management, and close partnership working with education institutions across a variety of key stages and abilities.
General duties will involve day to day training delivery, pro-active engagement with partners, contract management and completion of performance reports as required.
This is a 6 month temporary role with the likelihood of extension, dependent on likely future funds being awarded. Further detail of the role itself is outlined in the Job Description as attached.
