Senior Project Officer – Supporting Boroughs and others
Salary: £40,000-£46,000 FTE depending on experience + pension and benefits
2.5 - 5 days per week (Full time / Part time / Job share considered)
Come and work in a fresh team supporting a growing movement of Londoners building better quality, more affordable homes for themselves and their communities.
Community led housing is an area of real potential for London. The GLA has committed investment of £38 million in the sector. It is now on the cusp of significant growth moving from an emerging niche into making a mainstream contribution which empowers residents and communities.
Community Led Housing London is a new resource and advice hub, supported by the Mayor of London, and hosted by CDS Co-operatives. We support groups and communities get directly involved in building more homes with advice and funding. We also work with local authorities, housing associations, and others helping to create opportunities for community-led housing, which fit their strategies and achieve their objectives.
We are seeking new team members with experience in Local Authority housing, regen, or property roles, or in similar Housing Associations roles.
You will be working collaboratively; advising, initiating, and practically supporting community-led housing projects and programmes for boroughs, housing associations and others. You will be instrumental in ensuring initiatives proceed and achieve desired outcomes for all.
This is an exciting and career-enhancing role with a lot of flexibility. We would like to hear from you if you enjoy a variety of tasks and challenges; are creative, enterprising, and ambitious; and are able to get things done giving attention to detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture. You will be an all-rounder in housing, development and regeneration, and able to turn your hand to whatever is needed. You will be a natural communicator, working collaboratively with professionals, politicians, and local groups, and can challenge positively to achieve win-win outcomes.
You will be employed by CDS Co-operatives, our host organisation, and based in our Borough / London Bridge offices, while working across several council offices. Part time applicants welcome.
If you require any further information or would like to discuss anything in more detail, contact Levent Kerimol on email@example.com or call 020 3096 7769.
