We are a clean, well maintained friendly estate with an active resident run TMO (Tenant Management Organisation) board. The estate belongs to London Borough of Islington, but you will be employed by us directly.

Proud of our homes and community, we are seeking a proactive part-time caretaker with excellent customer care skills to join our small team of staff.

Caretaking Duties – What the Job entails:

To carry out all caretaking, cleaning and upkeep work on the estate as defined in the Management Agreement or reasonably requested by the TMO Manager

To arrange and provide access to the estate for the Cleansing Department as necessary, including pulling out and putting away paladin bins after refuse collection, to arrange with residents for the disposal of large items of lumber

To walk around the estate periodically inspecting common areas for repairs and checking lights and time switches as well as communal door locks, down pipes, guttering and roofs.

To report illegal car parking and abandoned vehicles and contravening of tenancy conditions by residents and to assist in taking appropriate action when required.

To assist with monitoring all work carried out by contactors on behalf of the board

To maintain caretaking and maintenance stores, tools, plant and equipment and be responsible for its security

Working around the estate, representing us in the community, you will have a friendly, approachable demeanour and good communication skills, keeping the resident’s informed, establishing good relationships on behalf of the board and aid when requested
