We have a part time - 24 hours a week - Child and Family Centre Worker vacancy, which will be working across the Ramsey, Sawtry and Yaxley area, and covering St Neots when needed. The role of Child and Family Centres is to improve outcomes for all children, from birth to age 19, and to reduce inequalities in outcomes between children growing up in disadvantage and the wider population. Child and Family Centres provide a focus for multi-agency teams to deliver integrated services to young children and their families. Child and Family Centre Workers provide support to families to access information, advice and guidance, play, support and learning opportunities in both targeted and universal group settings. Support will be delivered in both Child & Family Centres and outreach venues within the wider community. This may also include supporting crèche provision as and when required, for example when parenting groups are being delivered. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated worker to help families access the full range of services available. You should have experience of working with families and children, be a good communicator and team worker, and ideally have a relevant NVQ or similar equivalent qualification.
