Resident Liaison Manager
2 year Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of becoming permanent
£37,245 – £40,181 inclusive of outer fringe allowance per annum
37 hours per week
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council owns and manages more than 10,000 social rented and leaseholder homes and we have ambitions to do more.
We want to create a Welwyn Hatfield that we can be proud of, a borough where communities thrive and people flourish. We are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but we can achieve so much more.
An opportunity has arisen within the Housing and Communities team to be responsible for the direct delivery of the on-site resident liaison function before, during and after major refurbishment and regeneration projects involving our housing stock.
This is a new, key role, and it will be up to you to make this part of our plan happen. You’ll deliver our promise to be a high quality landlord and listening to our customers. You will liaise with residents regarding the works, working with the council’s Property Services, Neighbourhood and Housing Options teams and contractors to deliver the service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
This is an exciting time to join us as we embark on a programme of development and regeneration projects across the borough.
You will provide regular update reports to internal stakeholders, including the council’s Communications Team and the Corporate Management Team regarding progress of projects.
Some housing and technical knowledge is required, but ideally you will have experience of a similar role. Enthusiasm and communication skills are key as this role will be the first port of call for residents regarding the implementation of planned / improvement maintenance works.
Are you a successful manager able to demonstrate success in a similar role to that mentioned above? If so, you’ve got what it takes to be a success at Welwyn Hatfield.
Welwyn Hatfield offers employees a great benefits package, including free staff parking, local government pension scheme, 27 days annual leave rising to 32 after five year’s continuous service, a childcare voucher scheme, free eye care tests, flexible working, wellbeing initiatives and free employee assistance programme.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
