Advert introductionWe are looking for a project manager to provide effective project management to deliver the council’s change in services for housing repairs, maintenance and capital project works.
This includes supporting the Programme Manager to deliver the projects required within specific timeframes, and budget to a high quality.
This is a time intensive programme with clear deliverables for the programme team. Each project manager will be responsible for delivering four projects.
This role solely focuses on supporting staff, members and residents through this period of change.
The successful candidate will be experienced in communicating across all levels of the organisation and with customers. A drive to support staff through develop of new services is also essential to delivering this role.
Fixed Term until 05/2020.
Main advert detailThe successful candidate will have:
•An accredited PRINCE2 practitioner, comparable project management qualification or equivalent demonstrable project management experience.
•Good understanding of maintenance of properties within the social Housing Sector, delivering repairs services and the complexities of investing, maintaining and improving council owned housing stock.
•Significant experience of planning and managing projects to achieve agreed outcomes
•Experience of leading and supporting teams through culture change, engaging with and managing communications with staff, customers and senior stakeholders though service change
•Ability to build trust and openness with customers and stakeholders, keeping them updated on progress and acting upon feedback.
•Proven ability to work effectively with senior management and members of council.
•Ability to plan and prioritise work – working under pressure to tight deadlines, organised and with a self-managing approach to work
•Ability to effectively influence and co-ordinate the work of others
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Good negotiation and influencing skills
