About the role
The job itself offers real variety and involvement in a wide range of exciting projects. We’re working hard to improve disadvantaged areas and enhance people’s lives across the Borough – Reading Borough Council's Housing Property Services manages a significant portfolio of residential property, from Victorian Terrace Houses, through to High Rise Flats and Modern Care facilities. Works range from minor day-to-day repairs, to multi-million pound refurbishments and redevelopment as well as some exciting new build opportunities.
Whether you’re working on major refurbishment projects, regeneration programmes, consultancy services or any other area, you’ll be helping us create communities that people are happy to call home.
As a Certified Competent Person to P402 and P405 with extensive asbestos related experience or trade based qualification to advanced level plus good experience in an asbestos related environment, you will be best placed to provide practical, accurate advice to in house trades and professional teams.
You will also be managing external contractors to provide survey and analytical and removal and remediation services. You will also be required to manage the Councils Asbestos database to ensure accurate information is provided to all services
