Team Manager, Therapeutic Emotional Support Service (TESS)
The Therapeutic Emotional Support Service (TESS) is the Birmingham Children’s Trust’s in-house emotional wellbeing service for Birmingham’s children in care, children on the ‘edge of care’ and young people who have left care.
Its purpose is to promote the health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people and to support those who have responsibility for their care.
TESS operates on the same practice principles as the wider Birmingham Children’s Trust, which is grounded in the relationship based tradition and heavily influenced by systemic, strengths based and restorative approaches.
This is a rare opportunity to share responsibility for the leadership and management of TESS and to take specific responsibility for a small team of therapeutic social workers along with the advice and consultation services TESS provides to colleagues in the South of the City.
