Reading Adult Social Care are recruiting a Social Worker to work in our excellent Adult Social Care - Short Term Team. You will be working alongside Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.
The Team responds to new enquiries to Adult Social Care, and is taking a positive, solution focused approach ensuring that all Conversations Count. This is having great results, improved customer service, better outcomes for people and enhanced job satisfaction.

A recent review by the Care Quality Commission recognized the good practice in the team here at Reading Borough Council.

You will enable people to identify their strengths, needs and outcomes, and help people to connect to community resources and services that maintain their physical and mental wellbeing.
You will work within the legal framework related to Adult Social Care.
We are looking for candidates who have previous experience working with vulnerable people or have transferable skills and experiences.
All candidates must have a Social Work Qualification and be registered with HCPC.
You must be able to demonstrate:
- excellent communication skills
- ability to gather and analyse information
- ability to identify and prioritise risks
- ability to identify and prioritise safeguarding issues
- excellent organisationals skills and flexibility
- excellent IT and typing skills
- excellent team work skills.
