Job Title: Group Manager - Customer Engagement and Support
Location: County Hall, Hertford
Salary Range: £45,591 - £48,531p.a.
Hours: 37 hours per week
The highway service is the most highly used and visible function the County Council delivers. As soon as people go out their front door to go to the shops, visit a friend, have something delivered or travel to work they all rely on the highway service. As a consequence our elected members, residents and customers are at the centre of everything we do.
Communication with our customers and stakeholders is therefore critical to the successful delivery of an effective service, whether it’s resurfacing a road, building a new bus stop, filling a pot hole or repairing a street light.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our £115m highway service in a senior role, shaping how we engage with our customers and delivering support functions across the business.
You will have the professional and technical knowledge to champion the work of your Group, but most importantly, you will have the leadership, communication and influencing skills to work with colleagues within the Highways Integrated Leadership Team, the wider County Council, District Councils and other stakeholders, helping to ensure a joined up approach is taken and the most made of opportunities that present themselves.
