The Housing crisis at the top of the political agenda. Can you help us make sure our members are at the heart of providing the solutions?
The National Housing Federation is the trade body for housing associations in England. Our members provide 2.6m homes for six million people. We are the voice of affordable housing in England, and believe that everyone should have the home they need at a price they can afford. We work at the forefront of the political debate not only on housing but on a wide range of other policy issues including welfare, homelessness and devolution. Our work affects the lives of millions of people across the country.
Could you be our new External Affairs Manager for the London or the South East? You may already have a strong understanding of housing, but more importantly you will be a skilled political operator, brilliant at working with stakeholders, with fantastic communication and influencing skills. You will also be confident working at the most senior level, making sure that our members’ voices are heard in the debates and discussions that affect their businesses.
In this role you will be the key contact for Housing Associations in your area, supporting them through challenging times, and championing their role with key stakeholders and in the media. You will also make sure that their views help shape our wider policy, lobbying and campaigns work, ensuring that the Federation understands and responds to the issues members face in your area.
This is a great opportunity to join an organisation that is making a real impact!
If you would like to apply, please submit your CV and cover letter via our online application process. Applicants should outline which posts they are applying for within their covering letter.
The Federation is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and we value the contribution each individual makes to our work. We are committed to ensuring our workforce reflects the diversity of the society in which we live and encourage applications from people of all different backgrounds, regardless of all protected characteristics or social background.
We are a disability confident employer and if you are a disabled person who demonstrates you meet the skills and experience we consider essential for the role, we will offer you an interview.
We look forward to hearing from you!
