A career at Winsor Primary School… a future working with extraordinary children within an exceptional team willing to go the extra mile. If you are “extraordinary” and want to make a difference – we want to hear from you.

Winsor is a happy and vibrant school located in Beckton, East London. We are a dynamic, inclusive and supportive school, providing children aged 3 to 11 with a robust and rigorous education. Our vision is to create an environment that is purposeful, inclusive and engaging at the heart of our culturally rich and diverse community. Winsor is a place where children grow into resourceful, independent learners; a school where pupils develop a thirst for learning which will stay with them throughout their lives.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our school.  You will be a valued member of a hardworking and friendly support team, and will contribute to our aim of providing quality education in a safe environment.   You will also play a significant role in maintaining our calm and productive learning environment to ensure all our children access purposeful and exciting learning.

The successful candidates will have:

  • Good organisation and interpersonal skills
  • High expectations of themselves and the pupils in their care
  • The ability to work as part of a team and as an individual

The school will offer:

  • An opportunity to work in a positive and happy environment
  • Support and training that the successful candidate wishes to undertake (alongside required training needs)

We would welcome applications from candidates who want to make a positive difference and significant contribution to our pupils’ outcomes.  Previous experience of working with primary aged children is required. The shortlisted candidate will be required to sit a literacy and numeracy test as part of the interview process.  The successful candidate will also receive a full induction.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This post is subject to safer recruitment measures, which will include an Enhanced DBS check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

An informal visit to the school is strongly encouraged. Please contact the school on: 020 7476 2323 to arrange an appointment with the Head Teacher, James Dawson.

Closing Date for applications is:

Closing date: Friday 29th March 2019

Test & Interviews: Week of 1st April 2019
