We are seeking Occupational Therapists to work in our new Advice and Wellbeing Hub, Locality Team and dynamic Hospital Discharge Team.

You will work alongside Social Workers, Care Co-ordinators and Health Colleagues in integrated multi-disciplinary teams.

You will be based at The Avenue Centre, Conwy Close, Reading, RG30 4BZ

About the role

You will manage a caseload of individuals requiring functional assessments and identify necessary interventions including reablement, manual handling, equipment and adaptations, to make a real difference in achieving improved outcomes and independent living, to the service user.

You will work within the legal framework provided by the statute, guidance, policies and procedures.

You must have:

  • A degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience of managing your own workload.
  • Experience of working with professionals from other agencies.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • A flexible approach.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Good IT skills.

You will have access to our Learning and Development programme and be supported in your career and personal growth with opportunities to learn and develop new clinical skills, helping you to build your Continuing Professional Development portfolio, extending your skills and supporting you to grow as a therapist.

At a senior level you will have opportunities to build on your leadership and management skills with access to Management Skills Apprenticeships.
