Join us at Tunbridge Wells Borough Council as part of our Parking team. We are dedicated to making our borough a better place to live and work by enforcing Parking regulations and helping to end anti-social behaviours such as littering and dog fouling by issuing Fixed Penalty Notices.
We are an innovative and forward thinking Council that offers a good rate of pay and terms and conditions of employment for a 37 hour working week with opportunities for extra hours.
In order to apply, you will be a fit person who enjoys working outdoors either alone or with a shift partner, patrolling the streets of Tunbridge Wells on foot and using your own initiative as you interact with the public. You will be part of a wider team, who will be on hand to offer support and advice when needed.
Join our staff team of around 300 people, in a friendly and supportive environment which has a lively social network that you can become part of, with opportunities to make new friends and to be part of an organisation committed to improving the surrounding community.
You don’t need any previous parking, littering or dog fouling enforcement experience to apply as training will be provided, however, good communication and people skills are vital for this role as you will be working with the public and will often have to engage in difficult discussions regarding the fines that you will be issuing.
If you are a people person who enjoys the outdoors and are passionate about improving Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding area, please take a look at the job description and person specification. If you want to have an informal chat before applying online, then just give Simon a call on 01892 554191.
