We are seeking a motivated, customer orientated individual to join our Entitlement and Assessment Team within the Council Tax Section. You will be working as part of a busy multi-functional team with a high level of customer contact (telephone, face-to-face and in writing).
About the role
The role will involve making proactive telephone calls to customers to collect information to ensure Council Tax records are up-to-date. You will have responsibility for updating and maintaining accurate records on the Council Tax database, including registration and awarding discount/exemptions.
You will need to demonstrate competency to maximise the collection of income, ensuring a professional service is provided at all times.
Ideally you will have experience in the collection and administration of Council Tax or similar relevant experience. Preference will be given to those candidates who can demonstrate a working knowledge of Council Tax legislation and the use of a Council Tax database.
