It is an exciting time for Norfolk Children’s Services where innovation and creative practice is celebrated and encouraged. As part of the changes to Social Work in Norfolk, we have transformed our Front Door arrangements to ensure the right pathway first time for our children and young people.
The team, Norfolk’s Children Advice and Duty Service, have been provided with specialist training by Professor David Thorpe renowned for new models and social work. Using a coaching style, the approach enables social work professionals to identify the correct services and support for the child or young person. This could be through to an Early Help Provision, Social Work Team or into the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub when there are safeguarding concerns.
We are looking for experienced qualified social workers who are excellent listeners and enjoy talking to others. You will have a professional curiosity that enables you to gather information and really understand it before using your wealth of experience to decide how the query needs to be handled.
You will receive all the training you need to work in this new and innovative way providing the opportunity to widen your skill set on the job.
