About the role
Enthusiastic and innovative, taking a dynamic and commercial approach to HR is vital to our ongoing success - if this sounds like you, then we would like to hear from you.
Working within a small, yet dynamic and varied team environment, your focus will include key project work including change management and process improvements, supporting Commercial Services' managers in all staff related matters and overseeing Health and Safety and wellbeing matters to ensure best practice is maintained for the organisation.
You will be using your specialist knowledge and expertise to enable the very best staff engagement programmes and support the management team to maximize the best performance outcomes across a diverse workforce.
You will have the ability to establish effective partnerships across the Council using a range of communication and facilitation skills to improve business performance. You will enjoy being part of a team but equally confident in working independently.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, be a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) with experience in both a commercial and HR environment. You will need in-depth knowledge understanding of emerging developments in the HR field, particularly employment legislation and equality and inclusion matters.
