We are looking for a Directorate Support Assistant (Personal Assistant to the Director) within the Strategy, Communications and Customer Services Directorate. As part of this role, you will provide high level administrative and personal support to the Director of Strategy, Communications and Customer Services and their Directorate Management Team, enabling them to efficiently fulfil their strategic management responsibilities and deliver the Council's agreed priorities. This is a permanent role.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of supporting senior managers, ideally in local government / public sector and be flexible in their approach with excellent organisational and communication skills.

You will have experience of being a quality Personal Assistant, and be able to manage competing priorities in a busy and dynamic organisation. The role will require the post holder to maintain an overview of key issues in the council and directorate, proactively forward plan and work alongside colleagues to ensure that an exemplary service is provided.
