A 24/7 social life, iconic shopping destinations such as Oxford Street, world-famous tourist attractions such as Covent Garden – all set against the backdrop of some of the most interesting multicultural neighbourhoods including Soho and Chinatown. It’s all on offer in Westminster – and when you join us, you will have the chance to put your expertise to use within these incredible high profile locations.

The Role:

Joining the Highways Operations Team, you will be involved with some of the most interesting highways projects nationwide. Contract managing a broad array of services ranging from public lighting to maintenance you will support their co-ordination and delivery ensuring that service providers are meeting expected standards. Focussed on delivering high levels of customer care you will support public relations issues and the delivery of procurement projects, offering expert advice and guidance for areas that could do with improvement and driving supply chain solutions.

About You:

As these services are inter-connected, you will need to be a highly organised individual with meticulous planning and management skills. Ideally coming from a civil engineering or highways background, you will have exceptional contract management, problem solving, analytical, communication, negotiation and influencing skills. With experience of getting the best out of suppliers in a similarly complex environment, you will have a good grasp of public sector, performance and risk management processes. Crucially, you will understand what it takes to work in an arena where customer needs are variable, and you will have an understanding of procurement legislation.

What We Offer:

Committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for our people, ‘The Westminster Way’ of working underpins everything that we do. This is our promise that you will enjoy a friendly and dynamic workplace, where everyone is free to be true to themselves, where every opinion matters, and where you will be encouraged to pursue your ambitions. With plenty of training and development opportunities, plus a great work/life balance and a competitive package, you are bound to excel when you join our forward-thinking department.
