Package description

An opportunity has arisen for an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) with the Safeguarding & Review Service. Your role will be to chair Child Protection Conferences, Reviews for Children Looked After and the completion of Regulation 44 visits and reports.

Fixed term for: 12 months

Job Introduction

We are seeking someone with significant experience of the IRO role who is looking to work flexibly. In addition, you will need to have significant experience of working creatively with children and be able to build strong, meaningful relationships with children from diverse backgrounds, their families and key agencies.

As part of the Performance & Safeguarding Families, Children & Learning Directorate you will have a key role in ensuring effective plans are in place that ensure children are kept safe and outcomes are met.

Job Details

This role is 0.4 FTE, working out 14.8 hours a week which can be used flexibly to equate to 59.2 hours per month.

For this post you must hold a Professional Social Work Qualification and be registered as a social worker with the HCPC. You must also have management experience.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
