£27,099 - £29,912 per annum for 36 hours per week Monday to Friday based at Godstone Highway Depot, Oxted Road, Godstone, Surrey, RH9 8BP.
You will be entitled to 24 days annual leave on joining Surrey, rising to 28 days after 2 years' service, have the option of joining the local government salary-related pension scheme, and have access to other benefits including a car lease scheme. About the role
Based in the Local Area Team within the Local Highway Services Group, the Local Highway Officer is the local face of the service, acting as the focal information point for all highway activity in your defined local area. The role is interesting and varied. Your duties will include responding to enquiries and engaging with customers, elected members, colleagues in other teams and local stakeholder groups, carrying out site inspections and raising works with our contractor.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can make a valuable contribution towards maintaining the highway network. You will require good communication, organisational, and IT skills. You will have achieved a good standard of Secondary Education and/or an equivalent level of experience in customer facing maintenance.
Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence is essential. A vehicle will be provided for carrying out your duties, which will be left in your place of work over night.
