Activities Co-ordinator

Creative? Organised? Responsible? Passionate about working with older vulnerable adults? Join us as an Activities Co-ordinator!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Activities Co-ordinator to join our teams.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will develop key partnerships, advise and support Extra Care schemes on how to plan activities, outings and events ensuring each scheme is linked into NHGs volunteer program.

The work you will do is more than just plan for our residents to meet up – the activities you put together will add value to our customers’ lives, helping them to build and re-build connections within their local community – and it doesn’t end there! You will also ensure that our customers are not solely receivers of services, but have the chance to add value to their community, enhancing their wellbeing and promoting dignity and respect.

To do this role well you will have knowledge and experience of involving residents in activities. Collaboration is important to us, and will be to you too and as such you will be confident in working with partners and agencies, both internally and externally. You will also have a great knowledge and experience of the voluntary sector.

You will have strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team and individually. You will have experience of working with elderly people and though your caring nature you will aim for the visible progress and positive impact on wellbeing of our residents.

In return we offer you 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), health cash plan, season ticket loan, tenancy deposit loan, cycle 2 work scheme, childcare vouchers, life assurance and a generous contributory pension offer.

This role requires a DBS check. Therefore an enhanced check will be requested in the event of you being offered the position as part of our pre-employment checking process.

Applications for this role close at midday 25 June 2019. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview and assessments taking place on week commencing 8 July 2019, with some assessments to be completed prior to these dates.

* Please note that should a redeployee apply for this role; their application will be considered before any others *
