37 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and creative Apprentice to join our Museum Service.

You will assist in the delivery of events taking place and helping the team deliver its service activities.  You will also co-ordinate the updating of several different social media platforms, including our website and assist in the delivery of publicity campaigns. Training will be given in all areas if required.

The council’s Museum Service manages and operates Mill Green Museum and an 18th century working water mill in Hatfield and the Roman Bath House located in an underground vault in Welwyn

You must have GCSE A – C in Math’s and English or equivalent and have a good working knowledge of MS Office. You will be a good communicator and have the ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines. 

Some evening and weekend work will be required, so you will need to be flexible.

The position will lead to a qualification relevant to your studies that will be transferable.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
