In a borough that is growing and changing so quickly, aplanned and coordinated approach to delivering the right type of housing,infrastructure and place-making is vital. To this end, the Council has an ambitiousaffordable housing programme and are planning for more health facilities,increasing primary and secondary school places and improving green spaces,transport connections, community facilities and other elements of the borough’sinfrastructure.

Role Purpose

OurStrategic Plan places the quality of both our homes and the services we deliverto residents at the centre of our corporate objectives and the ALMO ClientOfficer will play a key role in ensuring that we achieve them. Clienting theTower Hamlets Homes (THH), the Council’s ALMO is pivotal in ensuring that theALMO is aligned to the council’s wider strategic objectives especially todeliver best possible housing services to residents, securing fire safety, andimproving the council’s physical assets.

Thisis an ideal opportunity for an experienced enthusiastic housing professionwishing to undertake a varied yet challenging role to:

  • work closely with other officers in the team to ensure co-ordinated service delivery and an excellent housing management service is provided to all the boroughs tenants and leaseholders.

  • provide the ALMO Client Team with the skills and project management support it requires to ensure compliance with the Management Agreement, Service Level Agreements and continuous improvement.

  • assist the efficient management and maintenance of the Council’s housing stock.

  • provide the Council with the performance and management support it requires delivering a robust client function in respect of Tower Hamlets Homes (THH).

  • To contribute to the content of THH’s Business Plan (including targets relating to performance, housing investment and improvement, and outcomes.
