About the role
Surrey County Council is seeking to recruit two Senior Lawyers for the Contracts, Procurement and Projects Legal Team. The roles will support the Principal Lawyer to deliver key areas of the Council's transformation programme and non-routine procurements. Applicants should have a minimum of 4 years PQE.
The person appointed to this post will have conduct of a mixture of contracts, public procurement and projects. The work is fast paced and essential to the Council's Community Vision for Surrey in 2030.
To be shortlisted for interview your application will demonstrate significant experience of:
- Advising on the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and general public law matters;
- Undertaking commercial negotiation of legal documents;
- Providing solutions-focused and risk-aware advice;
- Effective team working;
- Managing competing priorities to strict deadlines; and
- Exemplary client care.
