Apprentice – Business Support (Occupational Health Service)

Based at: North East Lincolnshire Council, Civic Offices, Knoll Street, Cleethorpes, DN35 8LN


We are looking for a Business Support Apprentice, who will work towards a qualification in Business Administration Level 2.  The successful candidate will be working within the Occupational Health Service, providing business support.

As part of your apprenticeship, you will be supported, through training, mentoring and supervision, to undertake the following duties:-

  • Support in administration of the Occupational Health services.
  • Data input into the Council’s Occupational Health systems, ensuring that all data is accurate, reliable and consistent.
  • Clerical duties, e.g. processing invoices, photocopying, scanning, document collation/distribution and note taking.
  • Support the clinical appointment process.

This role requires good organisational and communication skills, the ability to prioritise your workload in order to meet multiple deadlines, and a good knowledge of Microsoft applications, e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook.

The successful candidate will be required to have Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy skills.

You will often be required to handle work of a confidential nature, therefore it is essential that you have a good understanding of the need for confidentiality within the workplace.
