This is a Brighton and Hove sovereign role, which is offered on a Fixed Term/secondment basis, full time hours, although we would consider flexible options.

About the role
The Strategic Procurement Team are tasked to deliver Procurement projects typically above £75k and to arrange appropriate contractual arrangements to support the workings of our partner authorities across a range of categories.
You will need to bring expertise and innovation to the role, and will work on local, projects, often as part of cross functional teams, working to deliver effective solutions to support and advance your stakeholder category.
The successful candidate will have;
- Great organisational skills,
- Great communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good persuasion skills
- Problem solving
- Focus on delivery
- Knowledge of Procurement rules is useful
- Awareness of Council systems and operations is an advantage
The work location for this role is flexible across Brighton& Hove, but you will be expected to develop and maintain excellent working relations with the various customers we support, and also with colleagues across our organisation.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency's Points-based Immigration System.
