About the role

Here at Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, we want to deliver the very best services for our people. Our Place Delivery team is at the heart of delivering growth and regeneration projects that will ensure we can do this.

To help us achieve these goals, we’re looking for a Place Project Manager to own and manage a number of key place-shaping programmes within the Borough. You’ll play a crucial role in bringing about sustainable and inclusive growth, town centre regeneration and estate renewal.

Your main objective will be to ensure that programmes and projects are delivered effectively, within budget and on time. As a key member of the Place Delivery team, you’ll take on a wide and varied caseload, including key infrastructure and service improvements.

This is an exciting time to join us as we undergo a period of major organisational change, placing our residents at the centre of everything we do. If you want to join a dynamic council that is increasing investment in its people and infrastructure, Reigate & Banstead is the place for you.

About You

As a project management expert, you’ll need to have the necessary leadership and organisational skills to lead teams and manage the wide range of complex projects you’ll be working on.

Strong written and verbal communication skills will be crucial to ensuring you are able to compile concise and informative briefings and reports. You’ll also need good financial management experience to supplement and manage existing project budgets.

You’ll need to be able to work on your own initiative and manage your own time, whilst also working collaboratively to support others in your team. If you have a positive attitude and a passion for place delivery, this is the perfect role for you.

About Us

Reigate & Banstead have a lot to offer, both professionally and personally. We have a fantastic green belt location with excellent transport lines, combining the best of countryside and town living.

In exchange for your expertise, experience and enthusiasm, we will offer support in continuing your personal and career development, in addition to providing a wide range of benefits. You’ll receive competitive annual leave and 15% contribution towards the LGPS pension scheme. You’ll also have access to a range of discounts including local and high street stores, and salary sacrifice schemes including a cycle lease scheme, and ‘Better’ leisure centre membership.
