Social Worker – Safeguarding Service

£34512 - £37,541 per annum (inclusive of a Market Premia payment)

In addition you will receive a Retention Payment of £2,000 per annum, after completing 1 years’ service

This is a fantastic time to be joining Medway as a Social Worker in our Safeguarding Service.  Our leadership team has recently been recognised by Ofsted for securing marked improvements. 

As a registered social worker with HCPC you will be experienced in undertaking direct work with children and young people and be able to evidence understanding of the child’s lived experience. You will be responsible for working and managing a caseload within a framework of appropriate supervision. You will receive regular individual professional supervision as well as reflective team supervision.  

You will be part of a safeguarding pod consisting of 4 social workers and a Practice Manager and hold an average caseload of 18 cases depending upon complexity. Our cases transfer to the pods after an assessment and then remain in the pods which mean you will have a variety of cases from children in need, child protection, court work and looked after children.
