Surrey Heath Borough Council are looking to recruit an application developer/ support
specialist to join the ICT team in Camberley. You will have responsibility for developing new tools, applications, workflows and the support and maintenance of existing systems.
The role will include a degree of GIS systems development and management as spatial data
is used widely throughout the authority but the post is not a pure GIS developer role. You will
need a good understanding of web development using PHP, NodeJS and ASP.NET Core etc. Increasingly we are deploying api endpoints and applications using containers to familiarity with Docker will be an a
dvantage. Extensive use is made of ETL (extract - transform - load) systems and we regard experience with FME or Talend as highly desirable.
You will also have experience of database management, in particular Postgres.
We are looking for a candidate who is a self starter, takes responsibility for their own learning and development and actively participates in a busy and progressive ICT team.
