Are you a property management professional?
If you’re an enthusiastic self-starter who thrives under pressure and are able to solve the challenge of working in an accommodation building day-to-day, you’ll enjoy our Accommodation Officer role. Working in our Student Lets team, you’ll be trusted as a sole point of contact to deliver a quality service to a group of our customers in Southwark, as well as maintaining our business relationship with King’s College.
You’ll need to have experience of being part of a customer-facing operation, and be comfortable taking personal responsibility for the many challenges involved in this type of scheme. Whether you’re working with contractors to manage day-to-day or cyclical maintenance, ensuring the building is health and safety compliant, or working to reduce our number of void rooms, you’ll be expected to build strong relationships through the work that you do.
This is a role that has property management aspects to it. Dividing your time between the 2 separate sites, you will need excellent customer service and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and balance your time between dealing with resident enquiries, managing contractor performance and ensuring that the on-site Caretaker is supported in their role. You will also be collecting rental payments and manage the arrears sites.
You will need some experience of property management or working in an accommodation building or similar to help diagnose repairs and order works. Above all, you’ll be enthusiastic and tenacious, with the capacity to quickly understand processes and effectively manage complex relationships and a wide range of demands on your time.
