Digital Services Officer x 2

Digital Services Officer

We are looking to recruit two experienced web content professionals to help improve and extend the range of digital content and services provided to residents in the borough.

As a Digital Services Officer you will have experience and an understanding of:

  • producing, publishing and editing high quality, engaging digital content
  • using content management systems to create and edit webpages
  • using analytics to improve webpage content and user experience
  • creating content that meets web accessibility standards

As well as creating and managing content you will help to build self-service through our Firmstep Customer Experience platform. You will develop expert knowledge of the Firmstep platform and build online forms, working closely with colleagues from teams across the council.

You must be a dynamic and fantastic team player, possess excellent communication skills and be committed to continually improving services. You must also be motivated by the challenge of delivering significant customer and business benefits across the council. The role is one of five digital services officers and part of a digital services team responsible for managing and improving the councils digital resources, which includes a public website, intranet and a wide range of other web applications.

As an area, Bracknell Forest has much to offer. It is a small, modern town that is currently benefitting from a major programme of regeneration which is revitalising the town centre and will bring an abundance of new retail outlets, restaurants, cafes and leisure opportunities.  Though much of its centre is modern, Bracknell has a strong historic background. Once part of the Windsor Great Forest, it still nestles in woodlands; one fifth of the borough is forest, with another fifth protected for its high wildlife value including ten sites of specific scientific interest.

Located in the heart of the Thames Valley and close to Reading, the town of Bracknell has excellent road and rail links to all areas of the UK, with the council office situated within two minutes walk of the station.

Bracknell Forest Council prides itself on being an excellent employer. We offer a fantastic range of benefits including flexible and agile working arrangements, as well as learning and development opportunities which will offer the chance to develop and progress your career.
