Environmental Health Officer

Environmental Health Officer, Full-time; 36.25 hours per week

Band F, salary £29,636 - £32,878 per annum

North West Leicestershire sits in a central part of the country and is served by an excellent road network including the M1, M42 and A50. This ideal location makes it easily commutable from all surrounding areas. Its perfect location is the reason many large businesses such as Amazon, Marks and Spencer, United Biscuits, DHL and UPS to name but a few, chose to locate here. In addition the area is served by East Midlands Airport which contributes significantly to the local economy and visitor numbers. We have a Primary Authority partnership in place with HMS Host UK Ltd and are keen to develop more. Half of the district is covered by The National Forest making it a very desirable location to both live and work. Come and see what we have to offer.

The Council itself is in a strong financial position, and is led by a pragmatic and approachable senior leadership team. It has a proud history of developing its staff to their full potential with its people focus and coaching culture. Working within the safety team, the successful candidate will get the opportunity to undertake the rich variety of food, public health and health and safety duties as well as undertaking airport related work and being part of the team that ensures our many events and festivals, such as Download at Donington Park, attracting tens of thousands of people every year, run smoothly and safely.
