STREET LIGHTING & OPERATIONS MANAGER

£44,632 to £47,147 (starting salary depending on experience)

Big changes. No excuses. That's what we're delivering at Wirral Council. We want to become a connected borough, with digitally enabled residents who have access to seamless and easy-to-use services. We also have ambitious regeneration plans and the recent launch of a new Wirral Growth Company is the first step in a £2Billion programme to transform the borough's economy. We'll look to you to bring leadership and vision, as well as the skills and dedication to help make our aspirations a reality. Wirral is a stunning place. It's a unique and beautiful peninsula in the heart of the North West, overlooking the world-famous Liverpool skyline and just a short drive from historic Chester.

Following the move to bring highway operations and contracting functions back under the direct control of the Council last October, this key new managerial position has been established to help oversee the new Highway Maintenance & Street Lighting service.

We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in the management of street lighting as well as broader highway operational/ contracting functions, and the successful applicant will act as the Council's senior technical officer for street lighting overseeing the rollout of the £10M project to convert the borough's street lighting stock to LED technology.

Sound like you? Tell us why. Bring it on.
