HAFLS Data Analyst
Starting Salary: £24,799 pa progressing to £26,999 pa
Full Time Hours, Permanent Contract

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and well-organised individual to join the Operations and Administration team, part of Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Service (HAFLS), to manage the analysis, evaluation and reporting of service information.

You will be expected to develop an in-depth knowledge of HAFLS’ management information systems and support partners and other HAFLS staff in their use.  The post is responsible for leading on the development of reporting and on the information management design for any new project.  Furthermore, you will be responsible for gathering, analysing and presenting information to help HAFLS monitor and benchmark the service. The role involves working with the MI systems providers to implement developments and improvements.

Very good Excel and maths skills are vital as well, as is an ability to work to targets and manage your own workload. This can be seen in more detail in the relevant section of the job outline.

HAFLS is based at County Hall Hertford and is funded by the government and part of Hertfordshire County Council. It is responsible for delivering adult and family learning across Hertfordshire, engaging with around 6,000 learners each year. It has a direct delivery team, and subcontracts other delivery to well- established local learning partners. The service was last inspected by Ofsted in 2017 when it was judged as 'Good'.

As a Hertfordshire County Council employee you would be entitled to the local authority government pension scheme and associated benefits including relevant training.

Please refer to the job outline attached for more information about the post. Should you wish to discuss this with a member of the team, please contact Gemma Jeffrey on 01992 556456.

Closing date: 23 August 2019
Interview date: 12 September 2019
