Data Protection Specialist?

Notting Hill Genesis is a recently merged housing association following the amalgamation of Notting Hill Housing Trust and Genesis.  It’s an exciting time to join us as we shape our future as one of London’s leading housing providers. We are an entrepreneurial social business with real commercial drive.

We’re looking for a bright, enthusiastic data protection specialist to lead the way in cultivating robust data protection systems and processes. As a Data Protection Manager you'll help shape the vision for how we manage and protect customer, staff and other stakeholder data in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

You’ll be a key player in developing and implementing key initiatives to ensure current and future processes function efficiently under the data governance regulations. We’ll rely on you to develop and maintain processes and frameworks that ensure the significant amounts of data we hold are managed and maintained to high standards. To ensure we are complainant with the data governance regulations we will need you to investigate any data breaches and make recommendations, review all subject access requests to ensure they have been managed in line with legal requirements and corporate policy and report on data governance KPI’s

Communication and collaboration are crucial in this role. Working with internal and external stakeholders you’ll provide expert advice and guidance on information policies, procedures and strategy. Additionally you’ll need to be comfortable with change and be able to drive improvements to business processes.

In return we offer a competitive salary, generous annual leave, health cash plan, season ticket loan, life assurance and a generous contributory pension offer as well as other benefits packages.

To apply please upload your CV and supporting statement. Please note a supporting statement is not a cover letter. Please also include your salary expectations.

Closing date for applications is on Tuesday 23 July at Midday. For an informal conversation about the role, please contact Chris Hopkins, HR Business Partner on 07736 481390.
