Higher Level Teaching Assistant
We are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to become part of our friendly and professional school team at IMPACT, Sefton Secondary Pupil Referral Unit and Alternative Provision for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. This appointment is for 36 hours per week (term time only + 1 week), to commence as soon as possible.
As Transition Group Leader the post holder will be expected to work from different year groups who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and will help lead in the development of Nurture Principles to ensure that barriers to learning are reduced in preparation for KS4. The postholder will also contribute to Departmental Management Team and supervision of Transition Group support staff.
Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS)
