Following a successful project to review and modernise the councils pay structure over the last year the council is recruiting to support the successful delivery of a new project to review Council people related policies, employment contracts and allowances. The project will consider improvements and embed required changes to working practices, in order to reflect the modern approach the council has committed to with the recognised trade unions.

We are looking for a HR professional with experience in working with large projects that impact significant numbers of employees, able to work as part of a team to deadlines, whilst trusted to deliver as an individual.

Your experience of research, benchmarking and consultation around benefits, policies and contracts will be crucial to the successful delivery of this key project.

You'll be confident in communicating, whether it's in writing or in person, both to groups and individuals about complex and sensitive information. Experience of working with trade unions as well as wider consultation would be very helpful. You'll be skilled at formal writing, drafting reports, policies and contracts.

Writing and updating job profiles, involvement with job families and job evaluation experience will be vital to your success. You should be comfortable with the detail of implementation whilst maintaining an awareness of the bigger picture that the project is operating in, ensuring links to other teams, projects and processes are adequately maintained.

Closing Date: Sunday 28th July 2019
