HOUSING HUB SUPPORT OFFICER (ADMINISTRATION)

Permanent Contract

The Council’s Housing Hub provides homelessness and housing advice services, administers the Council’s Housing Register and runs a Home Improvement Agency, providing Disabled Facilities Grants and other services to support vulnerable residents in their homes.

To provide the administrative support that underpins the delivery of these services we are looking for a Housing Hub Support Officer to be responsible for:

  • Managing the processes for Housing Register applications, including receiving and assessing forms, arranging home visits and medical appointments and advising customers on all aspects of their application
  • Ordering works, maintaining financial records, checking invoices and arranging payments 
  • Managing supplies of forms, leaflets and other customer information and other general office duties.

With previous office experience the right candidate will have proven office administration skills and be a competent and confident IT user. They will be able to work accurately and quickly with confidential information and be an excellent communicator both within the team, and with customers and partner organisations.
