Service Development and Implementation Manager

Fixed term contract until June 2020 (Maternity Cover)

You have proven experience of managing services for people with mental health or similar issues and are used to overseeing implementation and/or change programmes and leading, supervising and motivating staff. All you need is the perfect environment to put your skills to great use. Welcome to Richmond Fellowship as a Service Development & Implementation Manager.

Your challenge will be to bring leadership and project management expertise to implementation and improvement projects. In terms of your leadership responsibilities, it will be in a Project Lead or Project Mentor capacity of the handover from Business Development to Operations, ensuring all tasks associated with the successful implementation of the contract are completed. But that’s not all. You’ll also get involved in ad hoc and ongoing development project work on a national scale that contributes to service development and continuous improvement. And, when it comes to providing a flexible resource to cover management responsibilities where a service doesn’t have management capacity due to staff shortage or absence, again, we’ll rely on you.

Key to your success will be experience of effective operational management and leadership of staff teams to achieve maximum performance within a challenging environment across multiple locations. You’ll also need to be as comfortable managing projects as you are setting and managing budgets and facilitating change. Experience of TUPE staff transfers is important too, along with experience of working with HR Specialists to manage the TUPE process. You’ll have a proven ability to work in partnership with other agencies, while any experience of working to integrate people who are disadvantaged in the labour market would be useful. Perceptive, decisive and with a flexible but ‘can-do’, solution focused approach, you're great at managing conflicting demands and priorities.

There will be the occasional requirement for travel in the South of England as per the demands of the role.
