Personal Advisor - Educational Support

Salary: £28,363 - £33,920
Contract: 37 Hours per Week, 12 Month FTC (Maternity Cover)
Thurrock Council's Inspire Team are currently looking to appoint a Personal Advisor to join the Inspire Careers team with minimum of a level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development. This is a 12 month fixed term contract supporting maternity cover.
This is a front line role dealing with students and young people by supporting the traded delivery within Thurrock schools and the community based work of Inspire Thurrock Careers providing young people in Thurrock with support in their chosen career options in the community.
Good communication skills, written and verbal, are vital plus the ability to organise and prioritise own workloads. Good computer skills, the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently are also a priority.
Key functions of the role will be to support, assist and advocate on behalf of young people to enable them to participate effectively in appropriate education, employment or training opportunities.
