The Leadership Team and Governors at Darnhall Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational and outstanding practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and reflective teacher who will work within our Snowy Owl Provision, providing specialist support and high-quality teaching for pupils with communication and interaction needs in a caring and inclusive environment.
This role is temporary until 31st August, mornings only (Monday-Friday.)
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Outstanding, creative classroom practice that ignites passion for learning, creating a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment that promotes engagement, independence and emotional wellbeing.
- A strong understanding of communication and interaction needs, including autism and speech, language and communication difficulties.
- The ability to use a range of visual supports, communication systems and strategies to enhance understanding and participation.
- Patience, resilience and flexibility when responding to changing pupil needs.
- Resilience and commitment to securing the highest possible standards for all children.
- Sound knowledge of curriculum planning and delivery.
- The ability to deliver exciting and engaging learning opportunities demonstrating a thorough knowledge of how young children learn and develop.
- The ability to adapt learning to suit the needs of all learners.
- Effective behaviour management strategies.
- Good organisation, time management and assessment strategies.
- A thorough knowledge of all aspects of the curriculum
Commitment to meeting the individual needs of the children as members of the whole school community is essential.

Salary range
