The service currently covers a vast area, working across the whole of Derbyshire. Much of the work of The Outback is undertaken in the family homes of the children, their schools or local communities. Therefore, it is essential that applicants are confident to travel around the county and are also able to transport young people as required.Edge of Care/Preventing Family Breakdown – These are bespoke support packages which are agreed with allocated social workers in order to support specific targets that are identified through safeguarding plans or legal processes. The worker will work with the children and family carers, offering support and advice to achieve the identified targets. Working with young people to offer support at The Outback or in the local community - This can include 1:1 or 2:1 work with young people with complex needs, this will often be with young people who present high levels of challenging or distressed behaviour.To support residential settings across the county as and when required. We currently have an opportunity for a Service Delivery Officer within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)&nbsp; which also supports the Referral and Assessment Team on a permanent part time basis of 22.5 hours per week. The hours required are 9-5 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The role is rewarding, varied and fast paced; our main duties are to ensure that all referrals are processed and passed through to the MASH in a timely manner ensuring all statutory deadlines are met, the referrals can be made via email or phone and can come from all areas of the community from professionals and members of the public, these can be for Early Intervention support through to high risk child protection concerns.
As this team is the first point of contact for all areas of Children’s Services and the supports that are on offer, keys skills are required to include time management, flexibility, adaptability and attention to detail with good communication being the driving force behind why we can continue to provide a high level of support to an ever-expanding busy service.
We work closely with the MASH and Social Care teams ensuring we are available at often short notice to provide support for child protection meetings, with arranging and providing concise minutes within timescales, and general office administrative duties to include communication with families and professionals on case outcomes.
This is a hybrid position; office cover is required Monday to Friday on a rotational basis and the expectation is that at least 2 days per week are in the office with the remaining time working from home. The successful applicant will be expected to work mainly in the office for the first 2 weeks to familiarise themselves with work and the team.
We are looking for dynamic forward-thinking individual who is used to working to strict deadlines and performing under pressure as well as the ability to drive forward change and improve work processes.
Organisational and prioritisation skills are a must along with the ability to make decisions and deal with highly confidential information.

Join our Berkshire Emergency Duty Service and make a real difference. We are looking for dedicated Adult Safeguarding Care Coordinators, on a part-time, permanent basis, to provide vital out-of-hours social care across Berkshire.&nbsp;

Hours: We are seeking three part-time staff members to collectively cover 56 hours per week. Part-time working patterns will be discussed with the candidate at interview stage.

As an Adult Safeguarding Care Coordinator you will hold a CQSW or Social Work diploma/degree or an allied professional qualification such as nursing degree. You will also be registered with Social Work England as a Social Worker or the NMC as a Nurse. With at least three years’ experience in crisis intervention and complex adult safeguarding, you will bring excellent communication skills and the ability to analyse and record complex information. Confident under pressure, whether working independently or as part of a team, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults and families.

The Berkshire Emergency Duty Service (hosted by Bracknell Forest Council) is a unique service providing out of hours emergency social care for the whole of Berkshire. Our dedicated out of hours social care provision helps us to protect some of our most vulnerable residents.&nbsp; We are a specialist team of Approved Mental Health Professionals, Senior Social Workers (Children), Adult Safeguarding Care Coordinators and Call Screening Officers.
This is an exciting time to join our team. We have recently remodelled our service structure to make it stronger than ever. The Emergency Duty Service (EDS) is already recognised as a safe, effective service, safeguarding children and vulnerable adults across Berkshire with positive feedback from both Ofsted and the CQC. At EDS, you will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals – experts in crisis intervention and specialists across social work and health – bringing together a wealth of knowledge to deliver exceptional care.
<h3>Key responsibilities...</h3>
As an Adult Safeguarding Care Coordinator you will:
<ul>
<li>provide an emergency service for assessment and action for vulnerable adults referred as being in need of care, at immediate risk or in need of housing. This will predominantly be by telephone but, when appropriate, may require visits to service users.</li>
<li>provide expert advice and quality intervention, based on a sound knowledge of legislation to referrers such as service users, their families, members of the public, social care/health staff, Police or other external agencies.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>assess eligibility and take action on cases of emergency homelessness arising out of hours as per the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.</li>
<li>produce a high standard of accurate recording relating to all work undertaken to meet departmental policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li>
<li>assess and respond to requests for Appropriate Adults which may require attendance to Custody.</li>

About the role…
As a MiCare Support Worker you:
<ul>
<li>Provide support to adults to develop and maintain activities of daily living, including personal care.</li>
<li>Support people to undertake a range of social care tasks such as washing, dressing/undressing, showering, and bathing, meal preparation, domestic activities and engaging in community activities.</li>
<li>Undertake a range of delegated health care tasks as required such as prompt prescribed medication, supporting the application of prescribed creams, eye and ear drops, catheter care and prompting exercise as prescribed by the physiotherapist.</li>
</ul>
As this is a community based role, it is essential that you have a full UK driving license and access to a car to enable you to travel around Rutland county.
Basic pay of £12.85 - £13.05 per hour, Saturdays at £19.28 - £19.59 per hour, Sundays and bank holidays at £25.70 - £26.11 per hour.&nbsp; 
Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, however, if you have the passion and commitment to help and support others then we can offer you a comprehensive induction and a tailored training plan, with support to undertake the QCF Diploma and Level 2 Health and Social Care qualifications fully funded by us!
