1:1 LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Vacancies for Permanent or Fixed Term Contracts to July 2027

Term Time only – 35 hours per week + Inset days

8.30am to 4.00pm

WSCC NJC Grade 6 £27,254 p.a. pro rata (Actual salary £22,211)

We are looking for a positive, friendly and caring individual to provide specialist support to a student, helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, empathetic and understanding, and who genuinely wants to make a difference to a young person’s experience in the classroom.

You will:

• 🌟 Build a positive and trusting relationship with the student
• 🌟 Provide encouragement and individualised support
• 🌟 Help the student overcome barriers to learning
• 🌟 Work closely and positively as part of a supportive team

Experience of working with young people with Autism is desirable, but most importantly, we are looking for someone with the patience, compassion and enthusiasm to help this student succeed.

What You Need to Succeed

We are seeking a positive and friendly individual to provide specialist assistance to an individual student who requires support to overcome barriers to learning. You will need to demonstrate patience and understanding and be a good team player, preferably with experience in working with young people with an Autism diagnosis. Empathy and a desire to help the individual thrive in the classroom is essential.
