At St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Worcester, part of Emmaus Multi Academy Company, we are so much more than a school – we are a close-knit, supportive family where Christ’s love is reflected in all that we do. We are proud of our warm, welcoming community and are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and contribute to our shared mission of providing an exceptional education for every child. We are an inclusive school that values every member of its community. We are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity and high-quality education for all pupils.
We are looking to recruit a fixed term Level 1 Teaching Assistant for a Key Stage 2 child who requires consistent 1:1 adult support throughout the school day to access learning, maintain engagement and support emotional regulation. This provision is delivered in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCo. The dedicated Teaching Assistant provides adaptive scaffolding, supports understanding and task completion, and helps to develop independence. In addition, the adult facilitates positive social interaction and supports the child in building and maintaining relationships with peers. Support is required across both structured lessons and less structured times, including transitions, playtimes and lunchtimes to ensure consistent participation in the school environment.
Putting our children and young people first, always.
“Forming Christ-centred pilgrims of hope with kind hearts, questioning minds, a thirst for knowledge and a hunger for justice.”
The successful candidate will play a key role in our school vision by supporting the day-to-day Teaching Assistant activities. Our teachers and support staff are talented, professional, supportive, caring and ambitious to achieve success.
We welcome applications from both Catholics and non-Catholics but expect all employees to support the Catholic ethos and values of the school. If you meet the requirements of the job description and person specification and feel that you could make a positive difference to our school, then we can’t wait to receive your application.
