
1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant - Nursery
A vacancy has arisen at Northway Community Primary School for a temporary 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Nursery. We have received additional funding for two pupils who both have learning, communication and social needs and require support to access the curriculum and learning environment. One pupil attends Nursery at the start of the week (Mon, Tues and Wed morning) and the other attends at the end of the week (Wed afternoon, Thursday and Friday). We are in a position to appoint either one person to work all week (28 hours) or two people to work part time (14 hours per week).
The position is for as soon as possible and is initially funded until 31st August in the first instance.
The Governors of Northway Primary School would like to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant who is:

If the appointment is one person, the post is 28 hours and the working hours are 9am-3pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday and 8.50-3.30 on Wednesdays. This is a half an hour unpaid lunch daily.
If two part time appointments are made, the hours are 14 hours each. One post is 9am-3pm on Mondays & Tuesdays and 8.50-11.50 on Wednesday mornings. The other post will be 12.30-3.30 on Wednesday afternoons and 9am-3pm on Thursdays & Fridays. When working 9am-3pm, there will be a half hour unpaid lunch.
It is term time only and the salary will be pro-rata.

Due to the nature of work the post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.

Salary range
