This is a new and exciting opportunity to support the leadership of the English department. This role will develop you both personally and professionally to ensure you reach your full potential.
Your new school
Lift Winton is a popular secondary school with fantastic facilities and a great reputation within the local community. With that said, we continue to be ambitious and want to become the best school in Hampshire. The school has recently appointed a new Principal, Myles Preston, who brings with him over ten years of experience in both teaching and leadership roles. Myles is passionate about the prospect of working with and leading a fantastic community of likeminded staff who understand the potential that an excellent education has in unlocking doors for young people and who are dedicated to joining a school on a rapid journey of improvement. If you are ambitious, energetic and have a 'get stuck in' attitude, this could be the role for you.
We are in the process of building a vision and a set of values to drive our school forward, and want to hear from people who are excited about the prospect of working with us to ensure our school is a high performing school in terms of outcomes, but also a school which places community and care at the forefront of all that we do. It's an exciting time to join and be part of our journey, the school maintained a 'Good' grade in the latest visit by Ofsted in 2023. We pride ourselves on a culture of high support and high expectations, and we have excellent relationships with families and the community who work closely with us to ensure every child receives an excellent education.

As part of Lift Schools, we have set the ambitious goal of 90% of our students achieving a good pass in English and Mathematics by 2028, and to continue the year-on-year rise in the number of students achieving the highest grades. It is this success that will allow every young person who attends this school to access the most ambitious future as they enter adulthood.
