Accommodation Officer

Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week

Are you passionate about helping people find safe, secure housing and preventing homelessness? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Homelessness Service as an Accommodation Officer.

In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in preventing homelessness and supporting individuals and families to access safe, suitable, and affordable accommodation. Working within a dedicated and supportive team, you will focus on early intervention and prevention, exploring all available housing options and delivering positive outcomes in line with homelessness legislation.

You will develop and maintain strong relationships with Housing Associations, supported accommodation providers, private landlords, letting agents, and Key Choices to maximise accommodation opportunities for people in housing need. This will include monitoring accommodation availability, coordinating property viewings, supporting applicants through the letting process, and helping to ensure successful move-ins.

Working closely with our Homelessness and Rough Sleeper Teams, as well as a range of partner agencies, you will help coordinate support and resettlement services that enable people to sustain their accommodation and move forward positively. You will also work proactively with households at risk of homelessness, particularly within the private rented sector, negotiating with landlords and exploring solutions to prevent or delay evictions wherever possible.
